Miriam Geer, a local photographer with her studio just around the corner in Topanga Canyon, photographed many weddings at the Nature Preserve. To the photos above:
The ocean is the most beautiful back drop for your pictures with the California sunset as your priceless gift from nature.
Many couples who prefer their wedding in a natural setting also like to be creative, less traditional and add eco friendly touches.
Rings can be made from (your family's) recycled gold and creative jewelers make your wildest and most personal dreams come true.
Instead of printing stationary and calligraphy for hundreds of place cards, which land in the trash, a pretty frame holds your seating chart or program very nicely.
Organic food and cake is not only the healthy choice but also save our ground water from tons of pesticides, hormones and tranquilizers.

Creative weddings are naturally eco-friendly as they often incorporated local artists and home made favors, locally grown flowers, arranged by a passionate friend and decorative items brought from home for the personal touch.
Parasols find their way home with many guests, they seem to be one of the wedding favors they actually like.
Michelle&Andrew's (September 2010) hand painted signs and table numbers made from reclaimed wood were used for many other natural wedding designs.

Cynthiya and Jeff's (August 2008) florist provided amazing decor - pretty vases, candelabras, votive lights and crystal bowls - to be picked up later and re-used for other weddings.
Cynthiya and Jeff's favors, very French pink wine bottles, were not tossed like the typical kitsch gifts, they were gladly taken home - and the leftover bottles were collected by Cynthiya's cousins for the follow-up party.

uses vintage containers and ornaments and, to demonstrate their commitment to keeping our planet out of harms way, they use a toxin free floral foam for their centerpieces and buy organic flowers when possible.

Candace who will celebrate her wedding with Josh at the Nature Preserve on October 18, 2008 bought amazing candelabras in lieu of centerpieces. Thier soy candles will be burnt out but the artful objects themselves will be a surprise gift to lucky friends and family members after the wedding.
Amanda and Will kept it nature loving by using potted plants and setting their place cards in a pretty tray filled with birdseeds.
